The Opportunity
Reporting to the Credit Administration Supervisor and Manager, Personal Financial Services, this position will be a hybrid role with duties as a Credit Administration Officer (CAO) and a Financial Services Officer (FSO).
Initially, the candidate will be responsible for the delivery of lending support services. Specifically, the successful candidate will be focused on setting up, processing, and auditing loans, lines of credits, and mortgages. Other duties of the CAO will be assigned in due course.
As the candidate gains experience and comfort in the position, opportunities in the lending field will also be available. Duties within this position include serving the Consumer and Residential Mortgage needs of members and potential members. With strict adherence to established policies and procedures, the successful candidate will be responsible for interviewing members, analyzing credit applications, granting and controlling loans and assisting in the development and managing of accounts.
The Person
The successful candidate will be highly personable, possess a strong work ethic, and be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess a Grade 12 diploma and a minimum of one year financial services experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products will be an asset. As a self-motivated, proactive individual, you have a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and strong critical thinking skills. You are described as a strong communicator with the ability to readily adapt to the constant change in the financial services sector. You have a proven history of commitment to strong member service, education, and self-development.
